Introduction of a New Train Service beween Chennai – Ahmedabad.

Southern Railway has introduced a new bi-weekly express train service between Chennai Central – Ahmedabad, via Arakkonam, Renigunta, Koduru, Razampeta as announced in the Railway Budget 2014-2015. The detailed operation of the Trains including the train numbers, train composition, timings, stoppings etc is given in the Southern Railway press release which is reproduced below.

A new bi-weekly express train service between Chennai Central – Ahmedabad, announced in the Railway Budget 2014-15, is to be introduced.

The service of Train No.19419 Chennai Central – Ahmedabad bi-weekly express will commence ex. Chennai Central o­n 01.02.2015, Sundayand that of Train No.19420 Ahmedabad – Chennai Central bi-weekly express will commence ex. Ahmedabad o­n 04.02.2015, Wednesday.

Train No.19419 Chennai Central – Ahmedabad bi-weekly express will leave Chennai Central at 20.00 hrs. o­n Thursdays and Sundays and reach Ahmedabad at 05.35 hrs. o­n Saturdays and Tuesdays.

Train No.19420 Ahmedabad – Chennai Central bi-weekly express will leave Ahmedabad at 09.40 hrs. o­n Wednesdays and Saturdays and reach Chennai Central at 17.05 hrs. o­n Thursdays and Sundays.

The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 3 AC 3-tier, 5 Sleeper class, 6 general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Renigunta, Koduru, Razampeta, Cuddapah, Yerraguntla, Tadipatri, Gooty, Guntakal, Adoni, Mantralayam Road, Raichur, Yadgir, Wadi, Solapur, Pune, Panvel, Vasai Road, Boisar, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Anand and Nadiad. Train No. 19420 Ahmedabad – Chennai Central bi-weekly express will stop at Perambur also.

Advance reservations for Train No.19419 Chennai Central – Ahmedabad bi-weekly express will commence o­n 31.01.2015.
