RPF Nabs Looter Of Ghaziabad- New Delhi EMU
On the night of 21.2.2015 at around 11:35 PM EMU Train no. 64415 stopped at Anand Vihar Halt and passengers were heard shouting for help. on hearing them, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) patrolling team on duty, nabbed a person namely, Afvaz, who was running away from the spot. The passengers informed that there were two more criminals with this person and they had robbed mobiles and cash from three passengers at knife-point. This person was taken to Anand Vihar Terminal RPF post and on interrogation the nabbed person revealed that there were two more accomplices with him who had fled. They had boarded the EMU train from Ghaziabad railway station at 11:00 PM and robbed three passengers of mobile phones (5 nos.) and total cash of Rs. 4800/-. Two mobile phones and Rs. 1000/- was recovered from the thief nabbed. This person was handed over to Govt. Railway Police, Ghaziabad for further action.
Northern Railway has issued directives to the RPF staff to step up vigilance especially at late night hours.
