Konkan Railway Proposes CCTV Surveillance System At 17 Stations On Its Route

Konkan Railway Administration has now proposed to install CCTV Surveillance System at Seventeen Stations.

Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhu is concerned about the safety and security of its esteemed passengers. In order to strengthen the same, Konkan Railway Administration has now proposed to install CCTV Surveillance System at Seventeen Stations viz. Kolad, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Pernem, Karmali, Canacona, Karwar, Gokarna Road, Bhatkal, Udupi and Surathkal. At present, CCTV Surveillance System has already been installed at Thivim & Madgaon Stations.

Installation of CCTV Surveillance System at these Stations will go a long way to infuse confidence in the travelling public to ensure their safety and security.
