Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister of Railways today laid the foundation stone for face-lift of Baraut, Baghpat, Khekra and Modinagar stations at a simple ceremonial function held at Baraut today. on the same occasion, Shri Prabhu also flagged off the maiden DEMU train services between Baraut and Delhi from Baraut station. Dr. S.P.Singh, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) wastheguest of honour on the occasion. Senior executives from the Railway include General Manager, Northern Railway, Shri A.K.Puthia, General Manager, Divisional Railway Manager, Northern Railway, Delhi, Shri Arun Arora, & senior officers.
Commencing its inaugural run from Baraut station today, Train No. 74027/74028 which services six-days-a-week (except Saturday) will start regular operations from tomorrow i.e. 26.05.2015. The following is the programme of regular services of the train:-
The 74027 Delhi Jn.- Baraut DEMU Train (6 Days A Week) will depart from Delhi Jn. at 01.40 p.m. to arrive Baraut at 03.40 p.m. the same day while in the return direction the 74028 Baraut- Delhi Jn. DEMU Train (6 Days A Week) will depart from Baraut at 04.50 p.m. to reach Delhi Jn. at 07.30 p.m. the same day from 26.06.2015.
The 74027/74028 Delhi Jn.- Baraut- Delhi Jn. DEMU train (6 Days A Week) will stop at Delhi Shahdara, Behta Hazipur, Noli, Nusratabad Khar Khari H, Gotra Halt, Fakharpur Halt, Khekra, Sunhera Halt, Ahera Halt, Baghpat Road, Sujra Halt, Alawalpur Idrispur & Barka Halt stations enroute in both the directions.
As part of its committed agenda to improve passenger interfaces at all stations, Northern Railway has planned for renovation of Baraut, Baghpat, Khekra and Modinagar stations. These include passenger amenity works like provision of solar street lights, LED platform lighting, LED circulating area lighting, solar wind hybrid system at Baraut, which are a part of Green station concept. Other facilities include automation of water supply, development of small shelters, provision of benches, flooring improvement, improvement to roofing, provision of signages, water booths, horticulture initiatives, façade & circulating area improvement, toilets etc.
