Railway Minister & Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will flag off a new express train service between Vijayawada & Secunderabad.
New Train between Vijayawada and Secunderabad
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will flag off a new intercity super-fast express train service between Vijayawada and Secunderabad, at the Vijayawada station at 8.15 p.m. on Monday.
They are also expected to lay foundation stone for doubling of the Guntakal-Kalluru railway line through remote video link from the same venue, according to a press release by South Central Railway Chief Public Relations Officer M. Umashankar Kumar.
The inaugural timings of the Vijayawada-Secunderabad intercity super-fast express (No. 02795) are: departure at Vijayawada at 9 p.m. and arrival at Secunderabad at 4.30 a.m. the next day. It will reach / leave Guntur at 9.50 p.m. /9.55 p.m.
Secunderabad-Vijayawada intercity super-fast express (No. 12796) will depart at Secunderabad at 5.30 a.m. with effect from June 21 and arrive in Vijayawada at 11 a.m. It will reach Guntur at 10.08 a.m. and leave at 10.10 a.m.
Train Number 12795 Vijayawada-Secunderabad super-fast express will depart Vijayawada at 5.30 p.m. with effect from June 22 and arrive in Secunderabad at 11.10 p.m. the same day. It will reach Guntur at 6.20 p.m. and leave at 6.22 p.m.
These trains will have 14 coaches — two AC chair car coaches, ten 2nd sitting coaches and two power car coaches. They will run for six days a week (Monday to Saturday).
